The Department of Schools Families and Children (DCSF) and BIG have selected Bearhunt as part of a consortium to support its £270 million investment in young people.
myplace aims to create World class places to go for young people and far we are working with 62 state-of-the-art projects which have been granted up to £5 million each. Another 10 or so projects will come on stream in late 2009.
Bearhunt is responsible for supporting the centres to become financially sustainable; engaging businesses, agencies and philanthropists; as well as raising the profile of the programme.
As well as Bearhunt the myplace support team includes Hall Aitken; Gleeds; YMCA England; Burness; Durham University & YMCA College.
